Hair Fall? Here's What We'd Recommend Before Extensions
Extensions treat the symptom, not the cause
Hair fall is one of the most common concerns Anu Ramesh hears about from clients walking into any Chillbreeze branch. In this short update, she talks about a pattern she's noticed: a lot of people come in asking for hair extensions, but the real reason behind that request is usually hair fall or thinning, not a styling choice.
Extensions can mask thinning hair, but they don't do anything to address why the hair is falling or thinning in the first place. Anu's view is straightforward — before reaching for extensions, it's worth looking at whether an actual hair fall treatment would solve the underlying problem instead of just covering it up.
What Chillbreeze recommends instead
At Chillbreeze, that treatment conversation starts with a doctor consultation, not a walk-in service. The salon offers a few different approaches depending on what the consultation finds: PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), which uses a concentration of the client's own blood platelets to stimulate hair follicles; GFC (Growth Factor Concentrate), a similar regenerative approach using growth factors; Exosome therapy, a newer technique that delivers cell-signalling molecules to support hair growth; and AMT, a newer technique Chillbreeze has recently added to this line-up.
These are being introduced as part of what Anu refers to as the salon's new "aesthetic" service line — treatments that go a step beyond standard hair care into more clinical, doctor-guided territory.
Who this is for
Availability varies by branch, since this is a newer, more specialised offering. If you're dealing with hair fall or thinning and extensions feel like they'd just be a temporary fix, message your nearest branch on WhatsApp — or head to our branches page to find the one closest to you — to ask whether PRP, GFC, Exosome or AMT is available there, and what a consultation would involve.
Questions
Is this treatment available at every Chillbreeze branch?
Not yet — PRP, GFC, Exosome and AMT are a newer, more specialised offering, so availability varies by branch. Message your nearest branch on WhatsApp to confirm.
Do I need a doctor's consultation before starting?
Yes — Anu Ramesh is clear that this treatment conversation starts with a doctor consultation, not a walk-in service, so the right approach can be matched to your specific hair fall pattern.
What's the difference between PRP, GFC, Exosome and AMT?
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) uses a concentration of your own blood platelets to stimulate hair follicles. GFC (Growth Factor Concentrate) is a similar regenerative approach using growth factors. Exosome therapy delivers cell-signalling molecules to support hair growth. AMT is a newer technique Chillbreeze has recently added. Your consultation determines which fits your case.
